Summer Training Camp - August 6th - 8th, 2025

This is a team building, leadership, health and fitness training camp for the cadets to setup the tempo of the upcoming year. While old teammates and their coaches get together, this will be a warm welcome for the newcomers. Access detailed information from the Westwood AFJROTC website here.

Obstacle Course General Meeting for Parents - Thursday, August 7th 2025

All parents who would like to help with building the obstacle course are welcome for this meeting. It will happen in the JROTC building at 5.30 pm.

Fall Parent Social - Friday, August 8th 2025 at 8.30am

Join us for our first parent social gathering for the year at the ROTC building drill pad. We will have introductions, greetings and fun over coffee and donuts. Come meet new and veteran parents: ask questions, meet the board, and connect.

Fishbowl - Friday, August 8th 2025

This is a student only event and usually hapens at the Westwood cafeteria. All the 9th grade students will get to see the clubs we have on the Westwood campus and talk with upperclassmen to see if they might be interested in joining a club. There will also be a pep rally and dance! 

Westwood Open House - Wednesday, September 3rd 2025

This is the open night for the entire school, see our cadets helping and guiding parents and student through the night. Also, enjoy the Kona Ice and Travelin Tom's coffee from 4.20-8pm and help our cadets raise funds.

9/11 Memorial Event - Sunday, September 7th 2025

First General Booster Club Meeting for Parents - Monday, September 15th 2025

ALL parents of ALL grades (9-12) are welcome to attend the meeting. It will happen in the JROTC building at 6.30 pm.

Homecoming Parade - Wednesday, 17th September 2025

Retention Party (Halloween Theme) - Friday, October 10th 2025

ALL CADETS WELCOME!! It is a great way for them to socialize, connect and bond with others. ALL FUN!! Sign up deadline is Monday 10/6. The Booster Club will be providing food for this party.

Houston Air Show - October 18th 2025

Cadets have this fun day out to the Houston Air Show. Details available on the official website at https://wingsoverhouston.com/. Transportation is generally provided. Cadets MUST sign up for this event. Deadline to sign up is 10/3/25.

Spirit Night - Sunday, November 9th 2025

Please join us for a Play time Fund raiser at 11301 N US Hwy 183, Austin TX from 5-8pm. 20% of all sales will be donated to Westwood AFJROTC.

Free Haircut - November 11th 2025

Veterans day is 11/11 and Sport Clips on Trails at 620 has offered to provide FREE HAIRCUTS for all of our cadets on this day. This is the time to complete that looming task on your calendar !!

Parent Social - Wednesday, November 12th 2025

Our first parent social of this year is at Los Reyes Mexican Restaurant (across from Westwood) at 6.30pm. Come meet members of the board and other parents!! ALL parents are welcome to join. Come even if for a short time!! 

Fall Trip - November 14-16th, 2025

Cadets will be going to Forest Glen in Huntsville, TX. Everyone must sign up and be eligible to participate in this event. Please encourage your cadets to sign up asap, if interested in attending. Lots of fun activities are being planned for this.

Wreath laying ceremony - November 29th 2025

Every year, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, community volunteers meet at the Veterans Cemetery and lay wreaths out on the nearly 14,000 graves. This is done in honor of those who've passed, and in support of the families who are left behind. Transportation is generally provided. Cadets MUST sign up for this event. Please encourage your cadets to sign up for this event if they are interested.

Please plan to join us for our next meeting at 6.30 pm in the JROTC building.

Holiday Party - Friday, December 5th 2025

Our annual Holiday Party is setup up for Friday December 5th, 2025 at 5pm in the JROTC building. The theme is INTERNATIONAL CUISINE!! We highly encourage all cadets to sign up to attend the party, there are 3 signups: 1> attend the party 2> participate in white elephant (optional) 3> participate in the talent show (optional). Please note these events are subject to change as they are dependent on a lot of external factors. However, emails are sent to all parents enrolled with the Westwood AFJROTC program and the Sky Warriors booster club before the scheduled dates.
